I use both my personal and professional career experiences to keep children safe while providing transportation for them. As a daughter of a bus driver, I know from other’s experiences the challenges that can come with transporting children. While my focus is on the safety of children through transportation, I also provide services within the transportation department.
I’ve earned the opportunity to work in many departments within Transportation. This experience taught me the importance of continuous education to provide the most support I can to both the department and drivers.
I have experience in working with the safety and training department, administrative responsibilities, routing (general education and McKinney Vento), dispatching and shop administrative responsibilities.
My ability to plan and organize has allowed me to take several business, finance and accounting classes while being a full-time employee and mother.
I began my transportation career in 2017 with Frisco ISD as a bus driver. Within my first year of employment, I was helping out the routing department (routing McKinney Vento students), field trips (preparing buses/SUV’s for coaches) and the shop (imputing/processing work orders).
I am currently employed with Rockwall ISD in the safety and training department taking care of administrative responsibilities, helping with dispatch and assisting with general education routing. I reside in Frisco, TX and have three wonderful children.
I am a proud mother of one “very different” young lady and have been blessed with three bonus babies. After 15 years of managing and teaching for an income tax company and FINALLY becoming an empty nester, I decided I needed a change. Considering all my options, becoming a Director of Transportation was what I decided to do.
In 2016 I started my journey as a bus driver for Duncanville ISD and have gradually progressed from there. I have had the pleasure of being a part of NTAPT and TAPT for the past 4 years and serving as NTAPT Secretary 2020-2021.
My name is Jessica, I work for Rockwall ISD Transportation as the Lead Dispatcher. I am married with three kids two girls 19, 15, and a 9 year old son.
I have been working in Transportation for 6 years and at Rockwall ISD for 4 years. I made the change to Rockwall when my youngest started school so I could be more available to him. My work team is AMAZING!
I have enjoyed the NTAPT experience and I am looking forward to helping us expand and grow.
