My passion for transportation keeps me striving to help wherever I can. I am committed to providing safe rides for our students and building relationships within our community. This dedication is something I’ve instilled in my own children—reminding them that, no matter the obstacle, perseverance is key.
We don’t just drive buses; we transport the future.
With appreciation for all you do,
Jennifer Gardella
Liz Ospina
Liz Ospina – Candidate for NTAPT President-Elect 2026-2027
With nearly a decade of experience in pupil transportation, I have dedicated my career to service, leadership, and the safety of the students and the communities that we support. I am a proud wife and mother of two, originally from the beautiful island of Jamaica, and my journey in pupil transportation has been shaped by resilience, faith, and a deep commitment to excellence. As a passionate administrator, I believe strong organizations are built on people, culture, and an unwavering commitment to safety. Every decision I make is grounded in the understanding that behind every route, policy, and procedure are students, families, and professionals who rely on us each day.
I hold a Bachelor of Arts in Public Administration and a Master of Science in Management and Leadership. These academic foundations, combined with hands-on experience, have strengthened my ability to lead with both strategic vision and empathy. I believe leadership is not about a position but is measured by responsibility, the responsibility to serve others selflessly, to listen intentionally, and to act with integrity always.
Since being introduced to NTAPT when I began my role at Mesquite ISD three years ago, I have immersed myself fully in the association and have not missed a meeting. I have dedicated myself to serving this organization by volunteering at Rodeo, coordinating the hosting of chapter meetings at my district, and serving for two consecutive years as both a Scholarship Committee member and Scholarship Committee Chair. Supporting scholarship initiatives has been especially meaningful to me, as it reflects our commitment to investing in the future of our industry and the individuals within it. I am honored to serve among a community of true professionals committed to excellence and whose members represent collaboration, mentorship, advocacy, and the advancement of our profession.
I am a member in good standing and remain deeply committed to supporting the mission, educational initiatives, and charitable goals of this organization. I am familiar with the history, purpose, and NTAPT bylaws, including the qualifications and duties of the President-Elect position. I approach this opportunity with humility and a full commitment to upholding the responsibilities of the role with professionalism, transparency, and accountability. I will always act in the best interests of the association and its members, ensuring that our decisions reflect our shared values and long-term vision.
It would be both an honor and a privilege to serve as President-Elect on the NTAPT Executive Committee 2026-2027. I am prepared to lead with heart, with purpose, and with a steadfast dedication to strengthening NTAPT for today and for the generations of leaders who will follow.
I am grateful for the opportunity to serve and sincerely thank you for your time and consideration.
CHAPTER COORDINATOR NOMINEE
Melissa McCasland
I have been a part of NTAPT and TAPT for several years now, and I had the privilege of serving on the Executive Committee during my first year. This experience has been far more rewarding than I ever imagined.
Over the past year, I have served as Secretary, Webmaster, and as a facilitator for our Facebook page. Through these roles, I have learned so much about myself, our industry, and the importance of strong professional connections. I am incredibly grateful for the lifelong relationships I have built and the opportunity to collaborate with such a supportive and forward-thinking Executive Committee.
One of the most meaningful aspects of my service has been the ability to fully express my creativity while working alongside leaders who are open to new ideas and innovative ways to strengthen our organization. Contributing in this way has deepened my commitment to NTAPT and its mission.
I would be truly honored if you would consider me for the Chapter Coordinator position in the upcoming election. I am eager to continue serving, growing, and contributing to the success of NTAPT.
Thank you for your time and consideration.
Sincerely,
Melissa McCasland
HISTORIAN NOMINEES
Windy Malone
Good morning everyone,
For those of you who may not know me, my name is Windy Malone, and I am running for Historian.
History isn’t just about the past — it’s about preserving the moments we’re living right now. The laughs, the hard work, the achievements, the memories that make this year unforgettable. As Historian, I will make it my mission to capture those moments with creativity, accuracy, and pride.
I am organized, dependable, and committed. I won’t just take pictures — I’ll tell our story. I’ll make sure every event, every milestone, and every accomplishment is documented in a way that reflects who we are as a group.
I would LOVE to be that someone who shows up, stay involved, and make sure our legacy lasts beyond this year, I would be honored to have your vote.
Vote Windy Malone for Historian — because our story deserves to be remembered.
Thank you!
Gregg Etter
I worked for the U.S. Army for thirteen years. After the army I got my Bachelor of Science in Psychology from The University of Texas. Once out of college I got hired onto Plano ISD as a bus driver in 2017. I have had the honor of working as a driver, field trip specialist, operations supervisor, and manager of routing and field trips. Working for Plano ISD for the last nine years has been a pleasure and honor.
I am running for historian because I would like to help and learn from our association and its members. I have been a professional photographer for about ten years now. Some of the events that I have taken photos at are Veterans Affairs conferences, weddings, senior photos, Quinceaneras, and professional development conferences. With my experience and skills, I believe that I could bring more photographically history to our association and help our team preserve the NTAPT legacy.
